How Do We Fix Pennsylvania's Broken Election System?

The Pennsylvania election system has always been, to varying degrees, subject to fraud. The 2020 elections have demonstrated how fraudulent it has become. The question is how do we fix it?

We need a well-thought-out plan and the right people to execute it. First and foremost, is voter ID legislation. The requirement for voter ID was passed into law in 2020, and, subsequently found unconstitutional by the PA Commonwealth Court. Nevertheless, legislation that ensures that only lawful registered voters are permitted to vote must be forthcoming. The law must be clear on the parameters and process to be followed in all elections.

Additionally, we must eliminate mail-in voting and ballot 'curing’. These have proven to be extremely vulnerable to fraud. As a matter-of-fact, they facilitate fraud.

Next, we need secure voting machines and tamper-proof tallying systems. If this is not possible, we must insist on a return to paper ballots. Of course, paper ballots will take longer to count, but they reduce the risk of large-scale fraud.

Moreover, we need fair and equal bipartisan oversight of poll workers and election officials. Having this will ensure the appropriate counting protocols are executed. Beyond this, if these protocols are not followed, violators must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and serve a mandatory jail term.

Ultimately, more than ever before we need to prosecute any and all elected officials or administrators who unlawfully change voting or election procedure. The State Legislature is the only entity permitted to change election law as defined by the Constitution. This must be strictly enforced.
